A penetration injury to the brain results when an objects travels through the skull and into the brain. This causes an injury to the brain, even causing serious or irreparable damage to the brain. These injuries tend to result in impairments and disabilities. The last type of brain injury is anoxia. This occurs when there is a loss of oxygen supply to the brain. This can kill off brain cells and could result in damage to different parts of the brain or even the death of a victim.
